A model of surface temperature measurement using a thermocouple is presented. The solution of the model is found by separation of variables and by the “quadripoles” method. This last method allows both a neat representation of the results and a simple extrapolation. Application of this model leads to the determining of the temperature detector's influence on the estimation of heat diffusivity of the heat pulse (“flash”) method.
